Dr. iur. Florian Timmer, LL.B., M.Sc. is a lawyer and real estate economist as well as an external lecturer for the subjects real estate business law and real estate tax at the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg.

 

As in-house lawyer at Benner Holding GmbH / The Platform Group GmbH & Co. KG, he is primarily responsible for corporate and real estate law. At the same time, he works as an independent lawyer specializing in real estate and corporate law in Wiesbaden. There he advises as an expert on real estate and real estate transfer tax.

 

In 2023, Florian Timmer completed his legal clerkship at the Wiesbaden Regional Court, after completing his doctoral studies to become a Doctor of Laws (Dr. iur.) at the Chair of Corporate Law of Prof. Dr. Anja-Ursula Hucke at the University of Rostock on the topic of "Executive Board Remuneration 2020" in 2022. Prior to that, he completed his legal studies (LL.B. - Legum Baccalaureus and EjP - Erste juristische Prüfung) at EBS Law School in Wiesbaden and his real estate studies (M. Sc. in Real Estate) at EBS Business School in Oestrich-Winkel. 

 

Most recently, he worked as a legal trainee at the law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP for short).

 

BCLP has significant experience negotiating sell-side and buy-side mandates across virtually every asset class, including office, multifamily, hospitality, retail, industrial and mixed-use assets. BCLP is adept at handling all types of transactions, large and small, including structuring and negotiating sophisticated joint ventures and project financings.

Prior to BCLP, he was already a research associate at Noerr in the Banking & Finance department.

 

He is involved as a student member in the real estate associations RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), gif (Gesellschaft für immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung) and ULI (Urban Land Institute), among others.

 

Prior to joining Noerr, he worked as an intern at the law firms Linklaters, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hogan Lovells, Noerr, White & Case and Schindler Rechtsanwälte, among others. In addition, he spent 10 months as a junior analyst at the aam2core group and 13 months as a working student at Ernst & Young Real Estate GmbH in the Real Estate Finance and Capital Market Services department.
